Short Term Plan
I go crazy when I don’t have a structured outline of what I want to do on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis — I don’t plan year-plans, or vision boards — I’m really temperamental and my short-term aspirations change pretty quickly, though this is what I have in mind till my birthday (30th July, 2026):
Hit 100,000 followers on Instagram
How? — By continuing to make resource-focused talking head videos like sharing Opportunities, Internships, etc — easy to grow following in this segment, though community not strong and more-or-less a vanity metric, but yeah, whatever
In the meanwhile
Study the content creation industry (I never really used IG before 20th Dec, 2025), and understand the nuances of personal branding, and creating really engaging content for organic distribution
Find answers to questions like:
Why does someone follow a creator on Instagram, what’s the psyche behind it? (not educational creators)
Brand deals, to:
Connect with the marketing department of corporates (potential sponsors for our events) and understand their psyche (to get better industry exposure for when Dublieu starts doing UGC campaigns) + this will help me understand how creators thing about such deals (as I’ll be on the receiving end of these deals. Previously I’ve only seen it from the brand’s PoV (Dublieu’s PoV)
Short-term additional revenue source (1-2L p.m)
Network and build relations with like-minded creators across various domains; boring content, cinematic content, storytelling content, etc — will come in handy later
Target: U25 (Boring-education) Community by making content across various sub-niches — thus getting a diverse follower-base across different domains like Law, Psych, Delhi Uni, etc
Leverage credibility of following to build credibility for Dublieu, and open up opportunities like Panel Discussions, Public Speaking Opportunities (though I find them pretty useless), etc
Building a long-term plan for the U25 vision for Dublieu
Renovate my bedroom & turn it into a proper creator-studio-den-ish setup which will reflect my personality
After I hit 100k-200k followers on Instagram, and gain adequate exposure along with achieving the sub-plots, I will pivot & re-invent myself:
To focus on content related to:
Business, Entrepreneurship & Marketing Case-studies (Growthx, Anurag Bansal, etc)
Build in Public (Biggest BiP series for community-rapport & community building) — after I start re-building Dublieu
Finance (Ishan Sharma, Ankur Warikoo type stuff too)
Tech (Varun Mayya)
Personal Branding (Sharing my struggles, Inner Thoughts, Misc things about myself — helps build Parasocial Relation) — less, but cinematic and eye-catchy — not for views, but to establish a certain level of awe-worthy quality of content which the user will see when they visit my page
Why?:
Right TG:
Content like this targets the right high-quality decision-maker demographic (which I’m unable to penetrate right now):
CXOs/Entrepreneurs
Marketing Execs
Content Creators (like Colin & Samir’s content)
Would be scalable for long-term as this is what I want to be represented by, and be proud of
Will help funnel eyeballs to my other social channels which I want to build, like LinkedIn, X, and this website (vedantkumar.in)
(Basic outline next)
After I get funding for Dublieu, I will double-down on Instagram though only focusing on viral marketing & crazy (low-budget) organic campaigns, pivoting and re-inventing myself again. No templatized content (as following will stop being a metric I value) + I will completely focus on Build-in-Public Content + Establishing myself as a thought-leader
Note: Things probably won’t work out like I’ve planned here, my life is extremely, extremely turbulent, I change my short-term direction literally every month as I try to have a fast pace of learning & re-iterating, though I hope that I can follow this route a bit + writing this down puts my mind at ease a bit
