My First Chrome Extension

Okay, so this is very exciting.

I’ve recently started content creation, completely against my will. I despise it. Loathe it. I hope YouTube burns and dies.

Wait no, YouTube is kinda like my bsf, I spend like a minimum of 3-4 hours everyday on it.

Honestly, let Instagram burn. I hate it.

Anyway, I’ve started content creation recently, and la-di-da, I’ve attached my sense of self-worth & validation to the menial amount of attention I’m getting on socials through subscribers, followers, engagement, etc.

So me being me, for absolutely no reason, decided to code up this silly little extension at 8 in the morning which tracks the amount of subscribers I have on YouTube, and whenever the counter goes up, it rings a bell & a pop-up shows up

It’s really silly, yes, it’s really dumb, fuck yes, but damn, I’m just happy

I’ve always wanted to publish a chrome extension, not that I’ve been able to publish mine yet on the chrome web store (it’s a very dumb process), but I’m just a bit giddy

I love creating cool things, I love these little side projects which make me obsessed & then I sit and code, vibe-code & debug for hours and hours on end

Yeah, there’s no real point to this blog article, but yes, just wanted to share it with someone
