Fakery, Bullshit & Crap
I get so fucking annoyed when I look these Indian “founders”, “changemakers”, “prodigies”, national award winners who are living in a house of cards; house of cards carefully assembled by their parents.

No definition found for Bullshit.
I get so fucking annoyed when I look these Indian “founders”, “changemakers”, “prodigies”, national award winners who are living in a house of cards; house of cards carefully assembled by their parents.
These pricks who are hailed as Indian Prodigies are nothing but full of chicanery.
I’m afraid I cannot take names, but these U18 Shark Tank kids, some PMBP awardees, these rich kids from rich schools whose projects, not startups, “projects”, are just a stunt to get them to Ivies, and people look at them with such awe.
In India what I’ve noticed is, that instead of actually innovating, instead of actually making something meaningful, kids just plop up a website on Wix, Squarespace, and whatnot, chase Instagram followers, and then go on a rampage of acquiring awards, podcast appearances, speaking engagements, TEDx talks, and whatnot, and I get so damn irritated.
I get irritated because the real prodigies, I’m not saying I’m one of them, I’m genuinely not, but the real prodigies don’t get the attention they deserve.
There’s this kid who’s father built his entire portfolio cause he’s a famous study abroad counsellor, there’s this kid with a fake backstory studying in this IB school and has built a shitty community of merely a thousand kids, there’s this girl who pitched on shark tank; her app just had 100 downloads after two years; there’s this other girl from a business family on shark tank, her project became defunct after 2-3 months.
While on the other hand, the true prodigies, a guy I know personally, getting AIR 1 in a competitive exam, and whatnot, they don’t get their due attention, and I get mad because of that.
The reason I’m writing this is because I admire folks from the Bay Area, from SV; they’re so fucking genuinely cool. They’re genuinely building cool things, and their websites are actually so damn impressive.
These Columbia Students, Duke, Harvard, Stanford (my dream uni), UoT, and whatnot, they genuinely build stuff.
Case-in-point this guy, Chungin (Roy) Lee, go check his profile out. I used to have this really cool list of people who are genuine, and whom I look upto (stopped maintaining it), and what happens is that I get such a surge of motivation, and anything which is going on around me seems so trivial; I’m not doing enough; I’m not cool like these prodigies, and I wish I was. I really do.

Whatever it be, I just want to get enough money, and go to Silicon Valley, California, and whatever, and I want to be part of something real. Something real, something cool, and something genuine. Not the crap that Indian teenagers shit out.
